Birthstones necklaces or earrings make a great gift! While there is a precious or semi-precious gemstone identified for each month it is often not realized that the stone comes in more than one form or color. For example garnets which are January’s birthstone are typically deep red; however they range from deep red to dark green and black. This section feature semi-precious forms of well known birthstones. Amethyst, February’s birthstone varies from very light to very dark. Aquamarine, March’s birthstone is a member of the beryl family and ranges in color from clear blue to yellow and light greens.
